Privacy Policy

B-Side - Vinyl Player collects no personal data. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it sends nothing about you or your music to us or to anyone else.

Your music

B-Side plays MP3 files from a folder you choose in iCloud Drive or on your device. It only reads the folder you choose, to list its records, read the tracks' tags and artwork, and play them. Your files are never uploaded, copied elsewhere or changed.

When a track lives in iCloud Drive, B-Side asks iCloud Drive to download it to your device so it can play. That happens through Apple's iCloud Drive under your own Apple Account, as with any app that opens your files; we never see it.

What stays on your device

To pick up where you left off, B-Side keeps a few things on your device only:

None of this leaves your device, apart from being included in your device's own backups if you use them. Choosing Remove Folder in B-Side deletes the folder reference, your places in each record and the widgets' copy of what's playing. Deleting the app removes everything.

AirPlay, lock screen and widgets

If you play to an AirPlay speaker, the audio goes from your device to the speaker you pick. The track's title, artist and artwork are shown on your lock screen, in Control Centre and in B-Side's widgets, as with any music app. All of this is handled by your device's own system features.

Children

B-Side collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If B-Side ever changes how it handles data, this page will be updated first, with a new date at the top.
